What a dream. I'm in the south and we've had more snow this year than I can remember. And there is more coming today! My hubby needs to go on a business trip! Unfortunately, he's an engineer for the local power company...so if there is snow...that means fat chance.
@Herding Grasshoppers: I didn't get very immersed in the culture, but I was keenly aware that I was no longer in the Bible belt. :-/
@Michelle: When our children were small, I wasn't able to tag along; so, it's really nice when the occasional invitation comes my way now. I think we must be fairly close to one another as we received another 4-5 inches last night.
I live about 100 miles from Palm Springs. I've lived in California all my life and I have never had the desire to live anywhere else.... earthquakes and all :-)
Irene and I once spent a weekend in Palm Springs what a great time that was. I know what you mean.
ReplyDeleteIt might not be so nice in the summer.
ReplyDelete...laughing... and rejoicing to see 30F on my toolbar ~ It's a regular heatwave here!
ReplyDelete(glad you were able to get away at least for a little bit)
@Gregg: I've always said, "Who'd want to live in California?!" Ah, well... now I know.
ReplyDelete@Georges: You're right of course, but love like this is never rational in the beginning!
@Melanie: You know where I'm coming from! We're due more ice tonight. Meanwhile, I'm pricing condos in Palm Springs, just for fun :-)
It must be a buyer's market ~ my brother just found a NICE house in AZ for half the probable building cost. Go for it! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, that weather looks LOVELY!
ReplyDeletebut... (and I'm joking... kind of...) I didn't know they let straight people stay in Palm Springs any more,
(fun to visit, now where I'd want to raise a family)
